Introduction

There are some reasons why you are here, if you are looking for Left 4 Dead 2 full installation instruction to the latest version 2.0.0.1, or you have problems installing the latest l4d2 2.0.0.1 patch, or you need to download the patch, this is where you should be. Fyi, i have 5 copies of steam version of Left 4 Dead 2 which i have bought from steam.

I have had couple of successes installing various version of Left 4 Dead 2. This version is by madwiggly, however just to inform all of you that raz0r’s release are the same. All you need are the patches from Step 2-7. Thanks to CS.RIN.RU which is where i took most of my instructions from, and this is my method, and i hope it helps. (:

Since most of you dont have megaupload account, use jdownloader.org to get your files from rapidshare or megaupload.

Pre-requisites:

Change your System Date to 29 November 2009, actually all dates with sunday works

1. Get Left 4 Dead 2 by Madwiggly (this is version 1.0.0.1) from Torrent, Link #1

2. Double click on Install.reg inside the extracted files (Madwiggly) Left 4 Dead 2 folder or download it here, Link #1 or Link #2

3. Now install Left.4.Dead.2.v2.0.0.1.UNCUT.NON-STEAM.PATCH-NES.rar, Link #1 or Link #2

4. Then install Left 4 dead 2 Update_bugfix_allmode by MadwiggyNLD.rar, Link #1 or Link #2 or Link #3

5. Now you have to patch your existing game from 2.0.0.0 to 2.0.0.1 with this file, L4D2_Update_2.0.0.0_to_2.0.0.1.exe, Link #1 or Link #2

6. Point Garena Settings to launch revLoader.exe or (Left4Dead2.exe) whichever works for you.

7. Then click Start Game.

I have revalidated my above post, and the filenames and instructions are correct. Ignore the incorrect filename at instruction 3, cause it is the step which i took to get a successful installation for Garena as of this time, November 23, 2009.

Additional information:
- if you want to skip the trailer at the start of the game, configure garena’s parameters with, “-novid” (without the double quotes).
- To change nickname open config.cfg in \left4daed2\cfg\ folder
- To change nickname in game, “setinfo name <yournickname>”
- To change language open rev.ini and set your language

There are multitudes of reasons why you should backup your data to a trustworthy location. Went back to office this afternoon, realised that the files on the server was being deleted; thus causing the script to malfunction, infact the main script was deleted. Anyway, i had to recode from scratch. sigh.

The company is running a standalone MyMailList Deluxe software for years, and they need to merge the datas on the software with the internal application i created for the company. Not everything is automated, the administrator still has to export the CSV file manually to the proper designated folder that propagates the data into database.

I’ve been using Google Earth on various computers and laptops until i installed Google Earth on Fujitsu Lifebook S6421. The problem doesn’t lie in the proper drivers that are not installed or directx 9.0c. It should also affect: Fujitsu Lifebook S6421BW, S6420WS.

I even went to install DirectX 10 on my Windows XP. But it still fails.

Solution:
- Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings tab
- Click ‘Advanced’ button, ‘Troubleshoot’ tab
- Under ‘Hardware acceleration’
- Move the lever to Full
- Check ‘Enable write combining’
- Press ‘Ok’

Now try Google Earth again!

I have been searching everywhere on removing Trend Micro OfficeScan pre-installed on laptops bought in SMU matriculation. I’ve successfully uninstalled it, here’s the solution if anybody is interested.

Necessary steps:
#1. Change Registry Keys
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\PC-cillinNTCorp\CurrentVersion\Misc
- AllowUninstall value to 1
- NoPwdProtect value to 1

#2. Disconnect from the Internet / Disable Wireless/LAN Adapter

#3. Modify certain values in C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\OfcScan.ini

- Search for [INI_CLIENT_SECTION]
- Change the Keys to these Values
Uninstall_Pwd=70
Client_Allow_Uninstall=1
Client_Allow_Unload=1

Save Ofcscan.ini, Uninstall. It didn’t prompt me for a password, but if it did, enter “1″.
* if it doesnt work, restart the laptop/computer, disable internet connection, then uninstall.

I’ve installed ESET NOD32 over this.
