Fines, tolls, season parking, stop milking me!

without comments

randoms. randoms and randoms.

When were the days when petrol was $1.4?

Everyone should appeal EVERY ticket they get, even if they were in the wrong, as there is always a chance you’d get off, or at the very least if everyone appealed it would clog up the system and teach the councils they can’t make money out of fleecing motorists, because thats what 80% of all parking fines are. Don’t belive the “oh its for congestion or residents, etc” that might be true for some yellow lines, but the majority are there for one thing, making money. The same with speed cameras, agian, appeal, ask for photos, etc.

Mess them about (within the law) and cost them money, why make it easy for them!

it might just result in hdb hiring more people to reply to emails. the current replying timing takes around 2-3 weeks. :)

What for build world class expressways, just for show or just to collect ERP? Where got citizen’s interest in the government’s heart? Milking as much as possible from citizens. Give one cent here and take back one dollar. Now, we ask where got heart at all? Only big Money talks.

Forget about Ponggol 21+. Forget it all. Rent a room near your place of work. Otherwise, all our pay will go to LTA! Where got money left to keep for retirement? Do you not call this sky-rocketting of overhead charges for living in Singapore! Government must form a Committee to help people distressed by this, just like the Committee Against Gambling?

“We noticed that the carparks at the residential areas are unusually congested since the implementation of more ERPs,” explained Mr Cheng. “As such, to counter the problem of congestion in the carparks, LTA has decided to raise parking charges across island wide. Our Tranport authority firmly believes that raising charges can solve all problems. Transport Ministry boleh!”

ERPs in Singapore 2009,

ERP2015 inconjunction with iN2015.

it doesnt make sense in adding more erp ganties to counter congestion. cte is still sluggish akin to days without erp ganties.
does raising cost help in alleviating the traffic? no fucking thanks.

some more talks about taxi charges, your views?

Windows 7 Tryouts, Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

without comments

Windows 7 is really stunning. I’ve had quite a good bit of impression here with this operating system. :) These are solely based on my personal experience with se7en. Btw i’ve been a user of DOS till Windows 7/Server 2008, inclusive of debian/slackware as my favourite list in the opensource technologies and macosx which i’ve used for a year during my course of work at a gaming studio.

w7-1
default

w7-2
nice looking taskbar, very well organised. just requires alittle bit of getting used to.

w7-3
Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

w7-4
80 default inbound rules and couple of mines.

w7-5
default aero theme :)

w7-6
landscape theme

w7-7
changing themes !

Here are what took me by surprise,
- Good multitasking capability (slower background tasks – thus faster foreground tasks)
- Good boot-up timing of ~15 seconds
- Good installation speed of <15 minutes
- Faster file copying speed, comparable with TeraCopy on Windows XP
- Good Snipping Tool, alike with Hypersnap I used in Windows XP
- Windows Firewall with Advanced Security (this was bundled with Windows Server 2008 initially)
– additional default 80 inbound rules iirc
– domains isolation with windows
– SSL app layer + IPsec network layer + 802.1x datalink = formidable
– if anybody's interested in WFAS, here's where they can go to, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772715(WS.10).aspx

with windows7, the aesthetics and performance gain makes your computer much more appealing to use again, other than work. work is never work again! :) :)
good night people, and you. and most of all you whom i honour dearly.
