In terms of your team spirit, you never turn down those who need help and readily explain the solution to them(though they may not understand at times). my journal for week 15.

It’s an invaluable experience to be in this multimedia
class, through this 15 weeks it’s apparent that this
specialization are more lively from the other
specialization.

Classmates in this class are more skills diverse,
talented, more united, talk the same thing, be it -
game, lesson or work. However the counter-side are
pretty dull and duller. The majorities in multimedia
classes have already crafted their draft-life goals &
ambitions, they strive towards what they feel they
deserve, greater of those in their counter-specialization.

It’s been fun watching the bunch of friendly classmates
chatting. I envy their friendship bonding, always wanted
to have a click in this class, but I failed to. Thou I
tried changing myself to blend into what my team/class
are talking, it didn’t make any progresses. I gave up,
in the end, I only talk to the people in my team that’s
all. I’m a loner here.

Also, being unable to blend into this class culture made
me difficult to blend in to the class discussion, etc. I
do feel very left out when I’m in this class, and I
totally dislike this feeling. But I’m glad I’m still
able to pick up flash on my own in the past 15 weeks,
still able to coup okay – alone.

I’m glad I entered this class, since I always wanted a
taste of flash & actionscript – given a second chance
I’ll still pick web games development as my module.

Well I’m glad that you are on good terms with your classmates. You shouldn’t be to caught up about trying to fit in. Given the situation, you don’t have a choice because you are not part of their batch. I think you wouldnt have any problems with them if you started out with them from year 1.

I observed that the class respects you and your skills. They almost look on you as their ‘big brother’ so that’s not bad I guess. I also see that your coding ability and problem solving skills are vastly superior to the rest. At times it may be difficult to explain/share concepts with them, but it is good t see that you still try and coach them patiently.

Late for class again. Old habits die hard I see.
